Pre-School for All Parent Educator (4 positions) (6143)
Pre-School for All Parent Educator helps with recruiting parents to volunteer and get involved at the Vivian Adams School, become engaged in workforce development and career readiness programs offered at the East St. Louis Center, and participate in school and home-based learning activities with their child(ren). The Parent Educator will assist with coordinating program meetings, events, student field trips, and connect parents to appropriate community resources based on their needs and the needs of their child(ren).
Additionally, the Parent Educator will enter data in the Childplus system, maintain program files, and submit to the Executive Director, Director of Workforce Development and program funders reports on program activities, outcomes, referrals, and project implementation timelines. Further duties and responsibilities may be assigned in support of the departmentís mission and goals.

Qualifications & Requirements -Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Education, Psychology or equivalent plus three years demonstrated experience in the field.
-A thorough understanding of the socio-economic, psychological, educational, and economic barriers, and needs of youth during early childhood and their parents.
-Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of team and work closely with case managers, trainers and workforce staff from other partner agencies.
