Milton Hershey School changes lives. In 1909, chocolate magnate Milton S. Hershey and his wife, Catherine, signed the Deed of Trust to fund this home and school for children from poverty. In its 100-plus years, more than 8,000 students have graduated from MHS. Currently, more than 1,850 children attend MHS, and there are plans to increase the student population to more than 2,000.
In addition to a high-quality education, Milton Hershey School provides students from families in poverty with a home, health care, extra-curricular activities, and more. More than 1,000 full-time staff members are employed on our large, beautiful campus in Hershey, Pa..
