Job Title:  Desktop Engineer -Systems Management Systems Engineer (Software and Patch Deployment)

Location: Dallas, TX   We are looking for a local candidates.  We have two openings on the team, one will be required to go into our Dallas Datacenter

Travel: 10%

The focus of your role within Capgemini, what you do:

We are looking for a advanced Desktop Systems Engineer with Server and Network configuration and troubleshooting fundamentals on our Cloud Infrastructure WorkPlace Services team.  This position will interface with offshore resources, internal leadership and customer accounts.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Advanced Level Troubleshooting (Level 3) End User Services using incident resolution, change planning/execution and problem management for workstations

  • Managing Microsoft Endpoint Manager (SCCM\Intune) environment for large to enterprise organizations

  • Systems Management Deployment Subject Matter expert related to End User Service devices of infrastructure components from development to user acceptance testing\production rollouts

Qualifications & Requirements

What you bring:


  • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Hardware and Software Engineer - Setup, install, configure, support, analyze, test and maintain desktop operating systems, software and hardware infrastructure components in scope with a development Test Lab related to supporting customer accounts

  • Fundamental understanding of Wintel Server and Network Systems to setup, install, configure, analyze, test and maintain server and network hardware systems and infrastructure components related to client support including configuration of benches, client workstation equipment, server equipment, IP-KVM, network routers, cable management, etc.

  • Consult, facilitate and maintain physical and virtual customer\isolated network and firewall connections in the Development Lab environment

  • Manage and support remote control toolsets utilized by support teams

  • Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies and remediate the same

  • Focus on continuous service improvements

  • Improve efficiencies by identifying opportunities, automating routine maintenance tasks and standard set of activities to increase coverage (Automation)

  • Develop, document, and adhere to defined processes

  • Monitor, manage, and provide reports for service management tools (Remedy, ServiceNow, Procurement, etc.)

  • Facilitate shipping and receiving activities of lab equipment

  • Liaise with other IT teams, vendors and 3rd parties for service requests, incident, change and problem management

  • Technical Skills – Windows OS, VDI, Active Directory, O365, Teams, SharePoint, Mobile Device Management, Apple Mac, etc.

  • Capability development and skill building on core and emerging technologies
