Implementation Training Consultant, Clinical

The Opportunity


Homecare Homebase is searching for an Implementation Training Consultant, Clinical who will act as an integral part of the clinical project to ensure a successful implementation of Homecare Homebase’s home health and hospice software.  This exciting opportunity will ensure return on investment for our customer base and optimal use of new features.


The Challenge


At Homecare Homebase, we help home health and hospice organizations across the nation overcome the business and technological challenges that stand in the way of patient care and efficiency. As an Implementation Training Consultant, Clinical, you will guide the customer and internal training teams through the deployment phase of our software. This role involves consulting customers on best practices within the home health and hospice industries to ensure they are setting their software up to return maximum results. Additionally, this role takes the lead on all actions and readiness as it relates to a customer’s deployment and go-live. 


You will also be responsible for:



  • Providing guidance and mentoring newer individuals on the team, and leading the onsite HCHB resource training team.

  • Leading clients through set up, testing, and implementation of training of the software, and assisting clients after deployment of the software.

  • Communicating effectively and understanding the customer’s needs, goals, and strategies, as well as translating those needs into initiatives and solutions.

  • Conducting project calls with customers during the implementation phase to proactively address needs and provide education as needed.

  • Creating and managing training prep initiative for assigned projects.

  • Designing and ensuring customers have all relevant training handouts prior to deployment.

  • Assisting in making customizations to clinical content (i.e. visit types, pathways and assessments) to ensure environment is ready for testing and training.

  • Monitoring Key Performance Indicators for assigned accounts and reporting this information to customers during post go-live conference calls.

  • Independently researching customer inquiries and determining sources of issues.

  • Independently researching data functionality and reporting problems to the customer support team with needed steps for customer resolution.

  • Maintaining product knowledge as new enhancements and functionality are released in the application.

  • Following HIPAA policies within Homecare Homebase.

  • Assuring confidentiality of agency information.

  • Exemplifying CARES core values to promote a positive work environment and adherence to core values.


What We’re Looking For


Homecare Homebase’s mission is to empower exceptional care among all the clients we serve. The Implementation Training Consultant, Clinical supports this mission by understanding the customer’s needs and goals, and providing solutions within the system as it exists today. 


We are seeking:



  • An individual who will collaborate for the development and professional growth of Implementation Training Specialists (ITS).

  • An individual who has the awareness of all business initiatives and goals to the implementation team as they are deployed.

  • An individual who can align “team” goals and objectives with the Homecare Homebase CARES values.

  • Someone who can report feedback to the Implementation Managers on ITS team performance.

  • Someone who will schedule, plan and create (when necessary) internal education sessions based on office resources and needs of the “team” and department.

  • Someone who will review ITS roadmaps for coaching and development opportunities as aligned with the Implementation Managers, and actively participate in assisting ITSs to work through their roadmap deliverables.

  • An individual who will be a resource towards escalations on the implementation team members as needed while they are on site with a customer.


Education Requirements: This career opportunity requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of some college and significant work experience. Experience in customer service/support or training on software applications; demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems and lead a team; medical/healthcare experience is a plus.
