At a time of rapid market evolution, account consolidation, increasing account influence and a shift in the definition of value in the oncology marketplace, Pfizer Oncology has built a leading customer and channel marketing function. The Pfizer Oncology portfolio has grown to 20+ products and includes market-leading breast cancer and prostate cancer medicines, the leading portfolio of precision medicines with complex diagnostic challenges, a leading oncology biosimilars portfolio, and a mix of oral and IV products with very complex but different distribution and provider cost recovery dynamics.
The Director, Oncology Customer Marketing will be a key member of the Oncology National Customer Group focused on customer and channel marketing in support of the full portfolio of products and specifically supporting the Oncology Key Account Managers in the field. Specifically, this role will report directly to the VP of the Oncology National Customer Group and work directly with leadership and have purview over innovative new approaches to the market as we evolve with the dynamic oncology marketplace.
Responsibilities will include:
+ Directly support VP of Oncology National Customer Group on innovative customer engagement strategy
+ Work directly with National Customer Group, KAM and Sales leadership to lead efforts to build robust segment-specific strategies for new customer archetypes and advance tactical plans to advance portfolio imperatives by segment
+ Lead efforts to build innovative resources and solutions for newly created field roles
+ Assess key oncology account market dynamics and synthesize insights re: oncology community practices, NCI affiliated cancer centers and oncology service lines within integrated systems
+ Lead efforts to conduct organized provider customer experience research
+ Partner with the Director, Customer & Channel Marketing, KAM leaders, sales leaders and customer brand marketers to articulate organized customer strategy, and execute at POAs, quarterly reviews and operating plans
+ Track metrics for success
+ Develop and execute oncology market place training for a range of Oncology HQ and customer facing colleagues
The Oncology National Customer group consists of field based teams and headquarters-based marketers who are jointly responsible for advancing Pfizer Oncology's leadership position in oncology customer channels (across Oncology National Accounts, Oncology Key Accounts, Advocacy and Professional Relations and Field Reimbursement) and patient-specific services and resources (including Pfizer Oncology Together and This Is Living With Cancer).
+ Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred
+ 10+ years pharmaceutical marketing or channel management experience
+ Track record of strong performance, teamwork, creativity and ability to collaborate with colleagues from multiple functional areas
+ Execution and project management skills, with an ability to work very proactively and under tight timelines
+ Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities
+ Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
+ Experience leading cross functional workstreams with senior colleagues
+ Experience in Oncology marketplace
+ Customer Strategy, Oncology channels, or managed care experience and in depth understanding of the healthcare market
+ Experience in account management or account management support functions
**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**
+ HQ-based role supporting customer-facing teams.
+ Some travel required (in normal circumstances).
+ Regular (at least monthly) engagement in NYHQ is likely if candidate is based alternate HQ location.
