Job Description
Registrar Systems Analyst
Functions and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the development, testing, programming, and maintenance of the Degree Audit System and the Universal Tracking (uTrack) system, as well as the integration with other systems on campus, such as Banner, Transferology, EAB Navigate, and OnBase. Independently interprets curriculum for programming, encodes academic programs and uTrack milestones via complex combinations of requirements and sub-requirements, evaluates and improves user interfaces, analyzes and resolves technical and end user issues, participates in planning groups and training sessions regarding the upgrade and implementation of various enrollment-related systems, supports the university’s Transfer and TN Reconnect initiatives, and provides miscellaneous support throughout the Office of the University Registrar.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
Associate’s Degree

• At least six years of experience in an office environment

• Extensive experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software

• Experience with understanding and organizing data

• Experience with documenting processes and procedures

• Experience developing solutions and efficiencies in processes

(Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.)

Preferred Education and Experience:
• Experience with DARS or another degree audit program preferred

• Computer programming and/or PL/SQL or other procedural language experience preferred

• Experience with higher education policies and procedures preferred

• Familiarity with the curricular approval process preferred

• Familiarity with student information systems preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of how curriculum works in higher education

• Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently

• Superior analytical and problem solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Acute detail and task orientation skills

• Ability to accurately document technical processes

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment and with a wide variety of populations

• Ability and desire to research the history of context of issues for complete resolution

• Ability to discern how discrete processes are interrelated

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of complex relational database organization

• Ability to query data from databases
