Senior Lead Strategy & Planning Consultant - Data Portfolio Management
The Data Portfolio Management (DPM) Team executes planning, prioritization, and strategic alignment for critical data products in partnership with Data Management & Insights (DMI) leaders, key stakeholders, and internal customers. The DPM Team leads strategic planning activities required to ensure product delivery maximizes customer value, aligns with the Enterprise Data Strategy, and meets the Chief Data Officer's vision for data investments at the company.
About this role:
The Senior Lead Strategy & Planning Consultant will support the Data Portfolio Management team by engaging with senior business and functional leaders across the company to plan, prioritize, and report on the delivery of significant data investments. This role will provide principal level strategic consulting services to product managers, product owners, and other key product delivery stakeholders to mature strategic planning processes and enable DMI to be a more customer-focused, value-driven, and efficient organization.
In this role, you will:
Communicate strategy and related business plans to management and stakeholders
Consult with key partners to distill highly complex concepts into pragmatic, clear, and targeted solutions
Develop or influence highly complex business and technical needs across groups and functions
Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others
Lead complex initiatives with broad impact and act as a key participant in large scale planning
Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges
Partner with executive management across Wells Fargo to define the business strategy then create and execute corresponding business plans and initiative
Plan the formulate strategic business objectives for DMI's enabling products and servicesÂ
Provide principal level strategic consulting services to client organizations
Provide peer leadership with colleagues and provide guidance to less experienced staff
Serve as the primary thought leader and liaison between the business units and a variety of support partners in achieving business deliverables
Required Qualifications, US:
7+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Ability to present and discuss information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels
Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
Ability to prepare presentations, management reporting, and statistical analysis
Ability to gather, organize, and interpret data
Ability to work across multiple lines of business leading large scale initiatives
Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats with senior executive-level leaders
Experience managing complex projects in a large enterprise environment
Experience with tracking, governance, and reporting of all initiative activities, including the development of key metrics and tracking of agile product delivery
Experience implementing and/or executing Agile principles and frameworks
Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strong relationship management skills
Knowledge and understanding of data management concepts, process, tools, and environments
Management consulting experience at a top-tier consulting firm
Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) skills
Job Expectations:
