Job Description
Remote Assistant Project Manager (Datacenter Design)

Are you a driven project manager with a talent for navigating complex design challenges and engaging key project stakeholders? Do you have a passion to work and grow your professional experience in the cutting-edge, mission critical tech sector? As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be leading multiple projects in diverse locations on the entire western continent, from concept up to and through construction, all from your fully remote work environment. You will team with other skilled professionals to gather critical input, drive strong decision making, problem solve and deliver projects through completion milestones on behalf of our clients. This role has the potential for expansion and professional growth as work expands. What you'll do:

  • Support design management, technical direction, decision-making and overall leadership for Client's industry-leading datacenter designs.
  • Support delivery of greenfield, brownfield and retrofit engineering / design projects through site due diligence, design, permitting and construction administration phases through turnover to Operations within Client's established scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Engage with key Client internal stakeholder groups and external vendors--including architects, engineers, and designers--who specialize in datacenter architecture and engineering.
  • Work with Client internal and external resources to align building, power, cooling, telecom and controls infrastructure designs in alignment with datacenter capacity roadmap.
  • Collaborate on problem solving and solutions to enable Client's datacenters to incorporate new technology and operational processes / procedures.
  • Participate on multiple, concurrent, complete Datacenter design solutions in geographically diverse locations from a fully remote work environment.
  • Collaborate and cross-train with Otak internal team members to improve efficiency, quality and delivery of Client's project portfolio.
  • Review and update project data and metrics in collaboration with team members.

What you'll bring:

  • Associates Degree or higher in Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related areas; professional registration / certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a project coordinator or manager.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical groups in a fast-paced environment.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.
