Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Information Systems Project Manager / Sr Principal Information System Project Manager. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
This motivated individual will serve as a Project Manager within the Digital Engineering Team (DET), supporting the Digital Transformation of the Sentinel program, by delivering a Digital Engineering Environment (DEE) capability, to allow the War Fighter, to make instant and strategic decisions.

What You'll Get To Do:
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Embodies and demonstrates the Northrop Grumman Leadership Values and Characters.
  • Leads and/or supports a multi-functional team in the Verification, Validation and Acceptance process.
  • Leads and/or supports a multi-functional team in the Special Program Office (SPO) Owning The Technical Baseline (OTTB).
  • Continuously communicates with customers, stakeholders and all resources, to support the delivery of the Digital Engineering Environment (DEE).
  • Effectively manages the cost, schedule and performance of all tasks, activities, and/or projects/products assigned.
  • Creates cost estimates for proposals, use earned value metrics to manage financials, develop return to green plans for any variances.
  • Creates a project schedule and/or roadmap, identifying capabilities, work breakdown structures (WBS), resources, procurements (i.e. IT hardware or software), go live or minimal viable product (MVP) and Owning The Technical Baseline (OTTB) for the Special Program Office (SPO).
  • Creates and presents project/product status, using a stop light metric on key performance indicators (i.e. overall status, cost, schedule, ...), current project funding status, identifying an possible Risk or Issues, and any return to green plans.
  • Performs Change Request (CR's) required to support the delivery of any tasks or activities.
  • Utilizes tools, such as Atlassian (i.e. Jira and Confluence), MS Office (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, MS Project), Risk, Issues, and Opportunities (RIO) tools (i.e. Active Risk Manager (ARM)), Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools (i.e. Primavera P6), Earned Value Management (EVM) tools (i.e. Deltek Cobra).

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Principal Information Systems Project Manager: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
  • Sr Principal Information System Project Manager: 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.
  • Current DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain/retain PAR within 365 days from submission.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills.
  • Experience with project management tools and presenting project data like status, risk and deliverables to key stakeholders.
  • Previous experience working IT projects.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Agile or SCRUM Certification.
  • Systems Engineering experience.
  • Verification, Validation and Accreditation experience.
  • Experience in or with the military.
    Salary Range: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD
    Salary Range 2: $108,600 USD - $163,000 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
