Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL, Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.

What You'll Get To Do:
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Assist in standing up a large scale software factory used by software team
  • Integration of complex systems that facilitates continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, and continuous deployment pipeline
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills to work with various teams Collaborates with clients and/or internal teams to understand user needs; drafts initial proposal and design of software to meet these needs.
This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience with Bachelor's; 0 years with Masters or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and PAR within 365 days from submission
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II (ie. Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC, etc) certification within 6 months
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle
  • An understanding of concepts such as micro services (including scalability best practices), containers and orchestration using Docker or Kubernetes and/or automation scripting to improve operational efficiencies
  • Demonstrated experience in software development (Java/Javascript, C++, C# or any modern object-oriented language and build tools (i.e., Maven, Ant) and continuous integration environments (i.e., Jenkins,TeamCity)
  • Clear understanding of Linux/Unix/Windows Administration, and experience with Virtualization technology
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Experience in or clear understanding of Amazon Web Services, including using AWS native services (Cloud Formation, S3, etc.)
  • Experience in or clear understanding of enterprise Cloud deployments
  • Experience in or clear understanding of multiple Cloud service platforms (Commercial and Government)
  • Experience in or clear understanding of Atlassian tool suite (Confluence, JIRA, GIT, Crucible, FishEye, Crowd).
  • Experience in or clear understanding of developing builds in Maven, including MAVEN profiles. Ability to automate software builds and releases via Maven & Nexus.
  • Experience in or clear understanding of automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Chef or an equivalent
  • Experience in or clear understanding of developing formal builds within the DoD industry.
  • Certification from VMWare and Cisco, or similar, is desired
  • Preferred candidate should have Experience in or clear understanding of VMware infrastructure and automation
  • Experience in or clear understanding of Agile methodology

Salary Range: $58,800 USD - $112,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
