Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT, Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL and will support Sentinel Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
As a Systems Engineer on this team, you will support a team of engineers to define, develop, decompose, analyze, verify, and validate requirements for weapon system. In this role, you will be supporting program leadership and the customer to define and maintain the technical baseline. Ultimately, you will support the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission by ensuring teams are aware of the compliance requirements they will need to meet. Candidates should be highly motivated engineers who can work both independently and in team environments.
What you'll get to do: Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
Lead the standup and growth of multiple large scale software factories used by software teams
Lead a highly-skilled engineering team in a dynamic environment
Participate in systems design, code development, debugging, and integration and testing of new capabilities, enhancements & modifications into the operational baseline. This work will also expand into automated, continuous software deliveries from multiple development teams to deployments in cloud environments and on-premise systems.
Develop and maintain continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, and continuous deployment pipeline systems
Utilize strong communication skills to work with Software IPT, chief engineers, and development teams
Maintain continuous operation of multi-user systems, including coordination with network administrators.
The selected candidate should thrive in an environment with, diverse assignments and collaborative/team settings across all levels
Support Agile Software/Hardware teams on pipeline builds, software installation, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring of the Software build Integration

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics from an accredited university with Minimum 14 years of experience or 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD
DoD Secret security clearance with last investigation/adjudicated within the last 6 years and the ability to obtain Special Access/SAP
Demonstrated experience with containers and orchestration using Docker or Kubernetes and/or automation scripting to improve operational efficiencies
Experience with software development build tools (i.e., Maven, Ant) and continuous integration environments (i.e., Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab)
Extensive experience in Linux/ Windows Administration, experience with Virtualization technology
Experience administering and configuring the full Atlassian tool suite (Confluence, JIRA, GIT, Crucible, FishEye, Crowd)
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II (ie. Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC, etc) certification within the first 90 days
Proven Agile or SAFE experience on a large-scale program
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with PlatformOne
Keen understanding of the software development life cycle
Extensive experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Chef or an equivalent
Experience or Certification with AWS technology
Experience with developing formal builds within the DoD industry
Certification from VMWare
Current DoD 8570 IAT II certification
An active Top Secret clearance

Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
