Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Test Operations and Maintenance Control Job Scheduling Representative. This position will be located in VSFB, CA and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here .

What You'll Get To Do:

Support Flight and Ground Test system level testing as a Maintenance and Operations Control Center Controller. This position will be covering 24/7 shifts during flight test preparation and execution and will primarily be indoors. Thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Frequent internal company and external contacts. Represents organization on specific projects. May make presentations to small groups.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Monitor health and status of ICBM launch facilities and launch centers and supporting systems.
  • Execute and control test preparation activities at remote launch facilities and missile processing sites.
  • Maintain accurate configuration records of test equipment worked on, team structures, and annotation of anomalies.
  • Coordinate emergency responses.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate via radio, telephone as well as other electronic means.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 2 Years of experience; 1 year with Masters. Four additional years of ICBM maintenance experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be have a DoD Secret level security clearance adjudicated in the last 5 years prior to commencement of employment.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • A current DoD Secret or Top Secret/SCI level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 5 years
  • Experience in a military control center such as a Maintenance Operations Center or Munitions Control.
  • Strong decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency responding to unexpected situations and directing appropriate actions.
  • Attention to detail

Salary Range: $74,900 USD - $112,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
