Job Description
Business Development Coordinator

It is an exciting time to be a part of the Otak team! We are growing and looking for great team members who want to grow with us! Otak is currently seeking a Business Development Coordinator to join our regional team.

The architecture and private client practices at Otak are looking for a special mix of creative talent and competitive drive. Are you someone who dreams up unique and effective ways to get in front of clients and helps set the stage for the win? If so, we would like to hear from you! You will have a unique position; embedded in the Architecture practice but with a hand in supplementing early-stage business development and marketing. You will coordinate closely with practice leaders and the business development and marketing team to help grow a key part of Otak's business. What you'll do:

  • Help practice leaders identify clients and open doors to new business.
  • Identify, organize, prepare, and coordinate events, sponsorships, and awards.
  • Coordinate and produce materials for events, conferences, and award submittals.
  • Identify, research, and track project opportunities.
  • Participate in development and implementation of the sales strategy and presentations.
  • Support Practice Leaders and the marketing team in development of competitive proposals.
  • Coordinate technical and creative development of SOQs and letter proposals.
  • Coordinate with the Otak Creative Services Team to shape and tailor external communications campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Services Team to continuously improve and update website content and social media platforms.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an A/E/C marketing team; architecture and private client experience is highly desired.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous deadlines.
  • Proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.
