How Is SEO Related to Marketing?
Posted By: Brooke Chaplan on November 08, 2021 Content marketing and SEO are working together to change how digital marketing is done. Some have compared SEO without content marketing to a body that does not have a soul. SEO is built by creating strategies linked to content marketing. This is because every website needs words and keywords. The two work together. How Keywords Tie Together Content Marketing and SEOA bulk of the SEO work is finding relevant keywords, researching them, and then using those keywords so that your content ranks higher in search engine results pages (SERPs). For your SEO to be effective, you need to understand how to use keywords correctly, identify a strategic approach, and see that approach through to the end. For example, it would be inappropriate to stuff a page full of keywords. This would make the page over-optimized. The balance between content marketing and SEO would be lost, making the page ineffective. Simply repeating keywords affects SEO negatively. However, embedding target keywords thoughtfully will help boost traffic. Produce Quality Content for Improved SEOIf your SEO and your marketing are going to be successful, you have to produce quality content consistently. If you are a small business and don't have a content writer, you may consider white label marketing. This is where you hire another company to take care of this aspect of your marketing for you. To be effective, content needs to be compelling. It has to attract your clients, and it has to solve an issue that your clients have. When Google looks at your site and strives to determine the relevance of a page and the content on your page, they will look at how many of your keywords are the exact words that potential visitors are searching for. Applying keywords to content can't be something you do by chance. It has to be done strategically and creatively to highlight the most essential keywords relative to your topic in your content. Make a Site People Want to VisitSEO is not just about finding keywords and writing compelling content. They're essential, but they're just the tip of the iceberg. The goal is to produce a site that people want to visit. This means that in addition to content marketing and traditional SEO, you need to optimize your page so that it has no broken links, it loads quickly, and it gives users a good experience. A site that is well optimized and that people want to visit is a site that will rank well. If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
