The first-of-its-kind school will be a basketball career academy built on a foundation of the NY State core curriculum. While 72 of our boys and girls will play on our interscholastic basketball teams, all students will participate in one of three "major" tracks -athletics, sports journalism, and business, finance and law. We will provide extraordinary college and career counseling, health and social services, and support for students with special needs. The school is named after New York Knicks legend, NBA Hall of Famer and Trustee Earl "The Pearl" Monroe, whose style of play epitomized the creativity and energy of the playgrounds that are home to 'the City Game. |
