Job Description
Strategic Initiatives and Stakeholder Management

About this role:

The Senior Business Execution Consultant will be a part of the Enterprise Service Governance Office (ESGO) and will report to the Initiatives Team Leader.  This team is responsible for identifying, planning, and driving strategic initiatives for the ESGO.  This role will need to quickly get up to speed on existing ESGO processes, the services methodology and data model (e.g., service definitions, linkages to other inventories, legal entity service relationships, service-based cost allocations), relationships with complementary programs (business continuity), and regulatory requirements (e.g., recovery and resolution planning).  This role will work closely with resources across the ESGO, Recovery and Resolution Planning, Supply Chain Services, Enterprise Analytics and Allocations, Information Technology, Corporate Properties Group, Finance, and HR amongst other partners.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead support functions or operations for multiple business groups and contribute to large scale strategic initiatives
  • Ensure efficiency, quality, cost effectiveness of solutions, and pipeline management relating to assigned operations
  • Research moderately complex business, operational, and strategic initiatives that require analytical skills, basic knowledge of organizational strategy and Business Execution, and understanding of international business
  • Work independently to make recommendations for support function by providing support and leadership
  • Assist in the planning and execution of a variety of programs and initiatives that may include risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer experience
  • Collaborate and consult with team leaders in developing project plans, policies and procedures
  • Provide leadership in management of relationships and implementation of programs, services, and initiatives with cross functional business partners
  • Strategic Planning and Initiatives: Develop and maintain ESGO annual objectives, manage initiatives portfolio and prioritization, drive execution of initiatives. A considerable amount of time will be spent evaluating proposed initiatives and the impacts to downstream programs within Recovery and Resolution Planning, RCSA (Risk, Control & Self-Assessment), Finance, and Enterprise Business Continuity and Resiliency and then executing the prioritized list.  Effectively communicating with business partners and appropriately escalating risks are key elements of the job.
  • Strategic Alignment: Review and assess broader services use cases and alignment opportunities. Analyze impacts to ESGO accountabilities, resourcing, and regulatory requirements. Monitoring for gaps and proactively engaging appropriate business stakeholders when there are opportunities for enhancements and/or disconnects between upstream and downstream users of services. 
  • Management Reporting: Assist in enhancing performance and risk metrics and reporting requirements as needed; Develop insights and narratives for leadership;
  • Stakeholder Communications/Change Management: Identify, build relationships with, and support stakeholders; Determine stakeholder priorities and impacts when the ESGO goes through transformations; Ensure regular and meaningful stakeholder communications, stakeholder communications and meetings, and change efforts (impact, stakeholder analysis, etc.); Ensure Change Management tools and techniques are applied where appropriate
  • Support cross team efforts This role may be requested to support audit requests, corrective action remediation, in addition to other service initiatives within the Enterprise Service Governance Office.   This role may be requested to support Regulatory work specific by quarter (i.e Material Entity ID and narrative submissions) and Service Management quarterly and annual activities (i.e Attestations and Service Criticality Mapping)

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Management consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Experience with Resolution and Recovery Planning (RRP) activities and deliverables a plus
  • Experience in Process and Control design and improvements is a plus
  • Experience in AGILE is a plus, as well as experience using JIRA
  • Experience with Business Resiliency/Business Continuity Planning activities and deliverables a plus
  • Change Management Certification is a plus, PROSCI preferred
