Job Description
SQL Agile Software Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer who will be supporting Application Portfolio Technology is an Agile team within Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT), part of Wells Fargo Technology that is responsible for the maintenance, security compliance, and enhancement of the AppOne application. This application is the centralized application metadata platform for technology managers, business owners, governance and operational support teams to manage compliance and operational activities that supplement the system of record with additional application portfolio metadata.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts
  • Identify opportunity for service quality and availability within the technology domain environment
  • Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges that are related to low to medium risk deliverables and that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains
  • Present recommendations for resolving issues or may escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements
  • Exercise independent judgment while also developing understanding of given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 2+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of SQL experience
  • 2+ years of experience building and executing automated tests (not Record & Playback)
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile in a development environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong Verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira
  • Experience creating and maintaining automated scripts using Selenium
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
  • Experience with application test driven development (TDD)
  • .NET Core experience
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Platforms in one or a combination of the following: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
  • An industry-standard technology certification

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours
  • May be required to serve in an on-call rotation for application support
