Area Director - Northeast - Ethicon US LLC

Ethicon is seeking an Area Director for its U.S Commercial organization, directly supporting the field selling organization. The Area Director will play a key role in shaping strategy and ensuring commercial execution across the field organization.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Primarily responsible for supporting the Area Vice President with Area Operations and Strategy support 
•    Coordinate all area operational support to include liaison activities for GES, Commercial operations, Sales training and Communications
•    Lead and facilitate the execution of contracting initiatives for major cross-Area system initiatives
•    Lead and mobilize Regional Sales Specialist (RSS) team to support system conversions and ensure representative clinical competency 
•    Lead the execution and oversight for all Area analytics-related activity
•    Serve as Area Lead for developing and executing sales support for strategic enterprise initiatives
•    Serve as Interim AVP as needed with both customers and employees 
•    Coordinate and align with AVP on all sales execution expectations and deliverables
•    Align with all applicable laws and regulations relating to MD’s business activities and Policies and Procedures of the Health Care Compliance Program and Johnson and Johnson Business Code of Conduct.


Education & experience requirements:
•    BA/BS degree or equivalent required; Business/Marketing/Finance/Clinical degree preferred.
•    MBA, advanced degree highly preferred

Position experience requirements
•    10+ years of relevant healthcare experience required. 
•    3+ years of sales leadership required, 3+ years of cross-functional experience (marketing, commercial operations, sales training, prof ed) strongly preferred.
•    Proven leadership capability including the ability to lead and manage through change and strong leadership principles behavior alignment: Connect, Shape, and Grow.
•    Ability to work within a matrix organizational environment and enterprise approach to decision making.
•    Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning and project management, including ability to balance multiple priorities. 
•    Strong Business & Financial Acumen in understanding the needs and priorities of the broader business with a penchant for understanding the use of metrics/numbers to gauge overall performance.
•    Stakeholder engagement; which includes communicating, influencing, and providing comprehensive solutions
•    Deep expertise in data analytics with ability to transcribe to fact-based decisions.
•    A minimum of 3 years of people management experience is required.  
•    Potential candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have an expertise in sales force effectiveness tools. 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to function independently as well as part of a team are required. 
•    Deep understanding of customer’s strategic priorities at all levels and develop solutions to meet long and short-term needs within the area
•    Manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment is required

Other requirements:
•    Travel (approximately 25 – 40% domestic travel only)
