The Pre-Analytical Operations Data Analyst is a member of a cross functional team where teamwork, collaboration, challenges and continuous learning are the norm. As a member of the Pre-Analytical Operations Team, the Data Analyst manages & conducts detailed data analyses and generates reports from its CRM and Enterprise Systems. The Data Analyst will assist in designing and preparation of systems, programs, reports and analysis of data for all Pre-Analytical departments. Keeps abreast of trends in the computer field and engages in educational opportunities including self-study as needed.


Improving operations, standardizing processes, gaining workflow efficiencies, and improving the patient experience.


Coordinating projects and activities, providing effective communications, and interacting with a diverse team of management and staff. Must be knowledgeable of organization's policies, procedures, and Pre-Analytical operations.



  • With considerable latitude and judgment, makes decisions regarding application configuration, database design & management, as well as providing basic support for 3rd party vendor software.

  • As a member of the Pre-Analytic team, monitor telephony activity via 3rd party software application. Insures call activity are meetings standards for all divisions.

  • Oversees quality assurance by analyzing staff performance across multiple systems and recommends solutions to meet standards. This may be in the form of system enhancements, developing and assisting with implementation of training/education to staff, or other creative solutions.

  • Works closely with ISO, CLSS and IT for related support needed for Pre-Analytic software, servers, systems, database and equipment. Works collaboratively to find solutions for complicated issues.

  • Develops and coordinates clear communications - may include but not limited to system changes/updates, project updates, changes in workflows, etc.

  • Demonstrates effective communication and problem solving skills. Works collaboratively with all project team members and builds effective relationships. Communicates with the project team, key stakeholders, and physician practices.

  • Performs in-depth analysis and facilitates development of integrated workflows.

  • Collaborates with the project team, subject matter experts, training and technical teams to effect system changes which reflect an in-depth understanding of the business and end-user requirements while also considering impact to integrated components and standardization.

  • Manages all phases of assigned tasks/projects, meets established deadlines, and maintains flexibility while managing multiple priorities.

  • Takes the initiative to identify and resolve complex issues. This includes independently executing creative solutions with minimal guidance.


  • Perform analysis on system data coming from Departmental, Enterprise, or external systems or resources.

  • Develops, creates and manages standard and custom reports for internal business partners (departments or service lines). Compile, produce, and deliver reports ad hoc and periodically as needed. Analyzes data for pertinence and makes adjustments as appropriate.

  • Create and manage monthly nursing reports for inpatient and ambulatory wards.

  • Utilizing available resources, creates custom reports & dashboards that provide daily analysis and performance metrics to Management Team.

  • Identify, design, and implement continuous improvements in reporting and analytic efficiencies to enhance decision support for enterprise functions.


Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering; and 1-2 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems, and develop critical thinking skills.

  • Attend or lead meetings utilizing effective meeting management methodologies

  • Strong communication, team work, and follow-up skills.

  • Skilled in using Microsoft software: Office, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel (PowerPivot Power Query)

  • Displays a solid technical aptitude and has an understanding of computer systems and IT functions

  • Basic understanding creating database structure/design, developing/deploying data models, Scripting with SQL, and report generation.
