Director, Supply Chain Planning Logistics

Role and Responsibilities

We are actively seeking a skilled and experienced Director Supply Chain Planning Logistics. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in developing a strategy and vision for the to-be organization. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, can skillfully navigate both internally and externally with partners, and are energized by the evolution of a critical area for Samsung, then we want you to consider this key leadership role. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Team of Supply Chain Planners

  • Provides direction for the logistics planning function. Functions as the focal point to improve communications between headquarters and corresponding SEA team members. May communicate daily between headquarters and SEA organization on logistics allocation, delivery requirements, and inventory management. Manages Revenue Progress Management: (Monthly, Weekly Sales), Logistic Cost/Management: X-ship and Expedite, KPI, logistics projects with HQ and LPS and service Level reporting, OTRQ, OTD, root cause.

  • Understand the current business processes; create a vision and strategy for the evolved organization; and implement best-in-class, customer-centric solutions.

  • Work closely with logistics network, 3PL providers, transportation carriers, and vendor partners to forecast overseas container volumes and build out capacity plan for constant flow of product into North American distribution centers.

  • Works closely with Inbound Team to manage inbound capacity, overflow warehouse, container diversions, and stock transfers

  • Communicates with GBM HQ, overseas production plants, and sales subsidiaries regarding supply planning and production activities

  • Analysis of Customer OTRQ result to find out failure reason and make improvement plan with operation team

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 15+ years of directly related supply chain/reverse logistics experience required

  • MBA strongly preferred

  • Experience with durable goods, home appliances, consumer electronics, etc. highly preferred

  • Experience developing strategies that anticipate future business needs, identify opportunities for innovation and improvement

  • Prior leadership executing strategies to improve efficiencies by optimizing performance and expense

  • Solid experience in leading and managing world class Reverse Logistics operations
