Job Description
HRIS & Payroll Administrator/Sr
We have an exciting opportunity for a remote HRIS & Payroll Administrator/Sr. This role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the Company’s HRIS systems; gathering, analyzing and interpreting data; and aiding in the activities necessary to process payrolls.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

HRIS-Focused

Regularly partners with HR, compliance, audit, accounting, planning and other departments on numerous reporting requests
Prepares and analyzes data from payroll and transHUB (the HRIS system of record)
Optimizes HRIS processes, including new software integrations (as applicable) and diagnostic testing
Provides technical support, system training, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users
Manages permissions, settings, and access to HRIS and other information systems
Serves as the HRIS expert and primary liaison between human resources and the technical services team to address issues, questions, etc.
Maintains updated understanding of HRIS trends, technology, etc.
Ensures employee data is updated accurately and timely

Payroll-Focused

Serves as back-up to the Senior Payroll Coordinator to ensure timely processing of payroll, including off-cycle payroll processing, in accordance with established policies and procedures as well as prepares reconciliations and prepares/submits payroll deductions and remittances as needed
Investigate and resolve payroll issues with management, as needed
Runs compensation, benefit and payroll reports
Responsible for the payroll set-up for newly hired, re-hired and transferred employees
Reviews updates made to the payroll system by other Payroll staff and third parties to employee data and deductions to ensure accuracy and processes manual data updates as needed for accurate payroll processing
Keeps abreast of current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and other required reporting (SUI, workers’ compensation, benefits, etc)
Assists the Senior Payroll Coordinator in processing fiscal year-end reports and reconciling W-2 and other tax reporting information for accuracy
Works with current payroll vendor (Paycor) to address any technical issues
Maintains proper files within data retention and security policy requirements
Responds to employee questions/complaints regarding the payroll process and suggests adjustments as needed
Performs other duties as required.

Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, accounting, business, or other closely related field
At least three years of combined payroll and analytical experience (Paycor payroll and Oracle software is a plus); At least five years of combined payroll and analytical experience is required for the Sr HRIS and Payroll Administrator role
Equivalent work experience/education will be considered
Ability to collaborate, provide technical support and train staff
Experience analyzing and interpreting data
Familiarity with SQL queries
Experience documenting processes and diagnosing issues
Ability to keep current with technical trends in HRIS analysis
Thorough understanding of information systems, including at least one HRIS system
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong problem-solving skills
Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
The anticipated salary range for this position is $25.15/hr to $33.89/hr plus a total rewards package that includes:
