The Department of Medicine, division of Infectious Diseases has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Outreach Coordinator to work on the UHealth Campus. The Outreach Coordinator position is for work developing and implementing public education and outreach programs. The employee in this position is responsible for assisting in planning, preparing, and implementing programs including a low-barrier clinic to reach priority populations for wellness screening including HIV and STD testing. This position may involve delivering screening questionnaires, counseling individuals regarding risk and recommended screenings, performing HIV testing in community outreach and clinical settings, providing education and patient navigation including benefits navigation regarding services including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) as well as rapid entry into HIV care.
Carry out on-site and telephone assessments.
Compile data for presentation.
Assist with preparation and distribution of counseling and navigation manuals.
Coordinate printing of materials of distribution.
Work with community-based organizations to plan promotional educational, and other events targeted toward designing increased awareness of the community.
Work individually with clients to educate regarding available sexual health services
Provide navigation for clients through the process of accessing sexual health services
Document daily activities and number of contacts reach or served through outreach initiative.
Maintain effective lines of communications with clients and prospective client to ensure adherence to program goals and objectives are met.
Promote services offered through traditional and electronic media.

Bachelorís degree in relevant field
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
