Job Description
Sr. Audio Visual Technician
The department of Medical Student Education has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Sr. Audio Visual Technician to work at the UHealth campus. The Senior Audio-Visual Technician provides high quality audio-visual services, training and systems support in classrooms and other learning spaces. This employee also records/edits meetings and presentations, coordinates graphics used in digital displays, and provides technical support for webinars, and distance-learning classes. The Senior Audio-Visual Technician provides direct technical training, assistance, and guidance to staff in academic divisions and professional service departments in support of IT and audio-visual equipment across campus in order to optimize the use of teaching technology within the University.

Assists faculty and speakers with the use of audio-visual devices and presentation software.
Ensures that equipment used for presentations is correctly configured and operates properly.
Arranges for and supervises both periodic maintenance and repairs of all audio-visual and classroom equipment.
Records lectures and guest presentations.
Conducts basic video editing and posts recordings to university websites.
Develops and provides group and individual training related to the use of university equipment and systems.
Documents and maintains procedures related to the use of all audio-visual and classroom equipment.
Ensures that equipment is kept current and meets the changing needs of the University.
Keeps abreast of current audio-visual and classroom technologies and practices.
Works with IT staff to maintain the asset management of all University equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate Degree in relevant field
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

Proficiency in Adobe CC (i.e., Acrobat, Photoshop, Premiere).
Proficiency in Video Equipment (i.e., Crestron, Extron, DSLR Cameras, Lighting).
Proficiency in learning management systems (i.e., Blackboard, Canvas, Elentra) is desired.
Previous experience with Higher Education Technology, preferred.
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
