Senior Human Resources Manager (Hybrid Remote -Near New York City) The Human Resource Sr. Manager leads and directs the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) Department including administering performance and compensation programs (Focal Point and the quarterly incentive), supporting benefit and wellness initiatives, enforcing company policies and practices, and spear-heading HR initiatives to support business operations. The HR Sr. Manager works with programs to promote Corporate Learning and Development opportunities or create programs and training where needed. The HR Sr. Manager oversees all HR-aspects of the onboarding and offboarding processes. Work Schedule: Full-time; Monday-Friday, Eastern Standard Time Work Location: Hybrid; able to occasionally be onsite at offices in Lower Manhattan Travel: Minimal Technology Requirements: Must have own smartphone and high-speed internet. Incumbent will be provided company-issued laptop JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Participates in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff for the Department; Oversees the team’s daily workflow, provides support and guidance where needed and addresses escalated issues; Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations of assigned staff; Provides support and guidance to team members, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; Oversees HR functional areas such as onboarding and offboarding of program staff, initiating/triaging reasonable accommodation and leave requests, conducting investigations, supporting Corporate HR initiatives (e.g., annual open enrollment, policy changes, etc.); Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees; Partners with the HR Director and program leaders to understand and execute the programs’ human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, and succession planning; Collaborates with the HR Director and HR Sr. Recruiting Manager to ensure department resources are appropriately aligned to business needs; Responsible for Department record-keeping and responding to audit requests Completes regular and ad-hoc reports Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law and communicates changes to the team; Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance; Meets all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position; Performs other duties as may be assigned by Management EDUCATION Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or higher, college degree in the field of Human Resources EXPERIENCE Required: Minimum seven (7) years of experience in human resources field; 3 years management experience with demonstrated track record managing human resources staff; demonstrated track record of recruitment and benefits administration experience Preferred: Experience managing Human Resources staff supporting clinical or call center business operations; experience managing an HR team that supports large organizations / high headcounts; experience with Workday, iCIMs and Smartsheet SKILLS Self-starter with a sense of urgency and the ability to work in fast-paced, complex, and deadline-driven environment Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy Strong interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy and flexibility to work effectively with all members of the organization Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently Demonstrated ability to communicate information clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise communications including memoranda, reports and other written documents Extensive knowledge of human resources best practices Ability to navigate multiple databases, collaborative worksites and communication portals on a daily basis to meet business objectives Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple activities to meet business objectives Capable of explaining complex issues and policies to all levels of staff in a clear and concise manner Training development and delivery skills preferred Contact Information
